Zipline season begins

For those who have always wanted to zipline across the Elora Gorge, May 4 is your pre-season chance. From 2 to 5pm, One Axe Pursuits will open the Elora Skyrider Zipline to the community.

This special, one-day event is a chance to ride across the Gorge with purpose.

“We’re incurring all of the operating costs that day, and the proceeds will be donated to Elora Road Christian Fellowship,” says Christa Niravong of One Axe Pursuits.

“We also want to give more people a chance to participate, so we are offering a ‘pay what you can’ fee.”

During the regular season, starting June 1, the fee is $30 per person age 13 plus, and $20 for children age 3 to 12. On May 4, the suggested riding fee remains $30, but people are also able to pay what they can.

Waivers will be available and payment is cash only. Riders should meet at Victoria Park in Elora. Parking is available at the Elora Community Centre near the washrooms.
