Warrant results in arrest
ERIN – A Brampton man has been charged after police recovered stolen property and seized over $3,000 worth of illegal drugs earlier this month.
On March 9, Wellington County OPP officers were contacted about the September 2024 theft of several musical instruments and tools from a storage unit in Erin.
“The investigation revealed that the victim had a wireless location-tracking device on one of the stolen items, which led to an address within the City of Brampton,” police stated in a press release.
On May 14, Wellington County OPP officers executed a search warrant in Brampton and recovered stolen musical instruments and property worth about $4,500. They also seized close to $3,500 worth of heroin and meth.
Manpreet Padda, 42, of Brampton, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime (under $5,000) and two counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine and heroin) He is to appear in Guelph court on Aug. 7.
