January is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington will kick off its new awareness campaign on Jan. 5.
The Alzheimer Society is challenging Canadians to rethink their perceptions of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia. More information will be on the website on Jan. 5 at www.alzheimer.ca.
The society will be holding its Walk for Alzheimer’s on Jan. 31 in Cambridge, Guelph, Mount Forest and Waterloo.
All the walks benefit people living with dementia, their care partners, and their families in Waterloo Wellington communities.
The Guelph walk will be at the Old Quebec Street Shoppes and Suites on Jan. 31 from 9 to 11am. Registration starts at 8:30am.
The Mount Forest walk will be at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex on Jan. 31 from 9 to 11am. Registration starts at 8:30am.
