UPDATE: Upcoming Fergus bridge repairs
It looks like Wellington County will be working on yet another Centre Wellington bridge across the Grand River this summer.
Wellington County’s roads division construction manager Mark Eby stated in an email to the Wellington Advertiser that the county has engaged a contractor to complete sidewalk repairs to the bridge at Scotland Street/Wellington Road 43 in Fergus. An update from Eby indicated the contractor has chosen to complete the sidewalk repair work on the Caldwell Bridge in Fergus between August 10 and Sept. 4.
“We are hoping that the work will only take three weeks but we will sign the closure for four weeks to ensure we have the one-week buffer,” he said.
