BELWOOD – A busy fall season is booked for the little stone church on the hill.

Brunch-Lectures

On Nov. 1 and Nov. 8 Mimosa United Church will host Brunch-Lectures, feature travels and history of Ireland.

The Nov. 1 lecture will focus on the Dingle Peninsula and North Kerry from Tralee to the Shannon.

On Nov. 8 the topics will be Clare and Galway, the Heart of the West and traveling Ireland’s northwest.

Brunch is a freewill offering at 12pm. The lectures are also free and begin at 1pm.

‘My Faith Journey to Islam’

On Oct. 29 Abdullah Misra will share as a guest speaker at 10am.

Misra was born into a Hindu family, raised among Christian missionaries, and then converted to Islam.

His talk will be ‘My Faith Journey to Islam’ with time for questions & answers.

All are invited to attend to learn about Islam and this faith system. Light refreshments will follow.

Advent and Remembrance

Advent services begin on Dec. 3, and Dec. 12  is Mimosa United Church’s Remembrance day service.

Services begin at 10am, with refreshments to follow.

4-H performance

The church hosts and supports 4-H clubs and this year a large drama club is rehearsing a Blacklight Theatre Music and Light performance.

Performances will be at Century Church Theatre, Hillsburgh, on Dec. 16 at 2:30 and 6:30pm, and Dec. 17 at 2pm.

Mimosa United Church’s 2023 Fall season ends with a Christmas Eve service on Dec. 24 at 7pm.
