The time to register for Paul Walker Memorial Golf Tournament is now

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce is once again hosting its golf tournament at Pike Lake Golf Centre in partnership with the Minto and Mount Forest Chambers of Commerce.

The Paul Walker Memorial Golf Tournament is in honour of a champion for growth and change in Wellington County.

Walker was a lifelong volunteer, an integral part of the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce, longtime president of the Grand River Agricultural Society, and a strong advocate for the business community.

Walker passed away in 2020, but started this golf tournament in 1999. The tournament continues to honour his impact on this community.

“We hope that this is a great opportunity to collaborate, knowing there is value for many of our members to be networking and engaging outside of Centre Wellington,” officials say.

“We are excited to be once again extending the reach of our annual golf tournament and inviting business leaders from across Wellington County to join us for a day filled with golf, networking, and fun.”

The tournament takes place Aug. 24 at Pike Lake Golf Centre.

Shotgun start is at 1pm.

Networking, lunch, and practice on the driving range takes place beforehand  (sponsored by RLB).

Registration includes 18 holes of golf (plus power cart sponsored by Beyond Rewards), lunch, 19th hole social and refreshments, golfer passport including mulligans, feature holes, player gift, and on-course games.

New this year – catch a ride with Red Car.

There will be a bus running from Fergus to Pike Lake in the morning, and back in the evening.

Turn the drive into valuable networking time! Just add on the shuttle option at registration.
