The Church of St. John the Evangelist in Elora celebrates the coronation of King Charles

Coronation celebration – On May 7, the Church of St. John the Evangelist in Elora celebrated the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla with a patronal service followed by a coronation lunch, and a large crowd gathered in Thompson Hall to celebrate. Several parishioners attended the lunch wearing Coronation-worthy finery. On May 7, the Church of St. John the Evangelist celebrated the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla with a patronal service followed by a coronation lunch, and a large crowd gathered in Thompson Hall to celebrate. The Rector, Reverend Canon Paul Walker led the gathering in three cheers for the new king and queen before cutting the giant blueberry cake decorated with Union Jacks and Maple Leaf flags.
