Teddy bears a highlight of Community Picnic at museum

Teddy bear picnic – Even the heat couldn’t keep the Teddy bears away from the Community Picnic held at the Wellington Museum and Archives on Aug. 7. The event, organized by Pat Mestern, was a success and next year she expects the lawn area in front of the museum building will be filled with Teddy bears. There were five categories for prizes and a teddy bear parade. Music during the day was provided by a local group called 99 Percent. LEFT: There were small bears and gigantic bears like these two held by Charlie Hallman, right, with mother Lauren.
