Team captains challenged to get registered
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington’s (BBBSCW) Bowl for Kids theme this year is “Rock n’ Bowl.” The group is challenging team captains to get their teams registered by April 1 to be entered into a draw for a $50 Tim Hortons gift card.
Bowlers can participate in two dates for different “Rock n’ Bowl” experiences this year. Wii bowling will be held on April 20 in Fergus and traditional bowling will take place on April 22 at Woodlawn Bowl.
The event is essentially free to participants and includes a team pizza, bowling shoes, lane rental, prizes and a 50/50 draw. BBBSCW just asks teams to collect pledges.
Bowl for Kids is a national fundraising event where 105 Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies across Canada attract hundreds of thousands of bowlers who collect pledges to fund mentoring programs for youth in the respective communities.
In 2017, BBBSCW served 220 local youth and expects that number to grow in 2018.
