Survey allows public to share thoughts on WCDSB”™s future

The Wellington Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) has entered into the public phase of its strategic planning process with the launch of three online stakeholder surveys.

Staff, students, parents, Catholic partners and community members are invited to share their ideas and thoughts for the board’s future until Feb. 22.

Available on the board’s website, the surveys will play an integral part in the development of the strategic plan, set to launch September 2016.

Combined with the input from several focus groups and internal planning meetings, these surveys offer an avenue for Wellington Catholic students, parents, staff and community members to share their thoughts and opinions on the strategic direction of the board.

“The responses collected from our community will help shape the direction of our multi-year strategic plan (MYSP),” said Tamara Nugent, director of education for WCDSB.

“We want to work with our students, parents, staff and community members to co-create a plan that listens to our stakeholders and inspires where we’re headed in the future.

“Building on the wisdom of our community, we will articulate a plan that guides our decisions and actions to build an exemplary school board for students of the 21st century.”

When complete, the MYSP will provide the board with overall direction by re-visiting the vision, mission and values, along with three to five strategies to guide the board from September 2016 to June 2019.
