The second of four Sunday afternoon services takes place at Ellis Pioneer Chapel on July 19 at 2:30pm.
Guest speaker is Wayne Scheidel with special vocal and instrumental music by John Hamilton and John Solberg.
Future services are Aug. 16 with guest speaker Bill Shepherd and Aug. 20 with Kees Vandermey.
Built in 1861 by pioneer settlers, the Ellis Pioneer Chapel holds an amazing sense of history, officials say. It is a nationally registered historic site and a place of worship. Along with four Sunday afternoon services each summer, the chapel is used often for weddings from May through October.
