Sparkles in the Park celebrates 20th anniversary

Experience the beauty of Riverside Park in Guelph transformed into a magical winter wonderland.

Over 30,000 lights adorn tree tops.

Nativity scenes and festive displays, which have been created by local businesses and individual community members alike, are sure to awe onlookers who experience the joy, fellowship and celebration of the season, officials say.

Visitors can stay warm in their car as they drive through the park enjoying the lights, or they can park their car so that they can enjoy a walk through the park.

This year Sparkles in the Park is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The light display is open nightly from 5:30 to 9:30pm. The celebration ends with fireworks on New Year’s Eve at the family celebration in the park at 8pm.

The carousel will be operating for free rides from Dec. 23 to 31 from 6 to 9pm.

Donations are appreciated with all proceeds benefitting Rotary projects.
