Slower start for building during first month of 2018
January building activity in Mapleton lagged behind the first month of 2017.
The township’s building department issued nine permits in January, for construction valued at $879,000 and generating permit fees of $10,450.
In January of 2017, the township issued 14 permits for about $1.93 million worth of construction and collected, $23,242 in fees.
