School to host annual Bunny Breakfast on March 5

The James McQueen Bunny Breakfast will take place at James McQueen Public School on Saturday, March 5 from 9am to 11am. In its 21st year, this Easter extravaganza is a wonderful community event the whole family can enjoy.

Start with the all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast (gluten free available) – cooked for the event in the Fraberts Fine Foods’ kitchen. After that, there aren’t just fun activities for the kids, the event hosts a successful silent auction every year.

Last year’s most popular prizes included Toronto Raptors and Canada’s Wonderland tickets, family photo shoots, restaurant gift cards and yummy baked goods – there really is something everyone can bid on.

And of course, keep your eyes open for the Easter Bunny himself, as he’s sure to be hopping around.

The event is run by the JMQ School Council with proceeds being distributed between the school and wider school community – wherever there is a need. “It’s a wonderful way to open the school up to the whole community”, says Kimberly Saunders, School Council Co-chair and organizer of the event. “Many people have been coming here for years, supporting the event and its community spirit.

Local merchants donate generously each year, and for that we are very grateful.”

Admission is $3 per person or $10 per family. We hope to see you then as we coax in spring with warm hearts and warm food!
