Remembrance Day services across Wellington County

Centre Wellington:

Aboyne –  A candle placement ceremony will take place on the front lawn of the Wellington County Museum and Archives at 5:30pm on Nov.10.

Belwood – There will be a Remembrance Day service at the Belwood cenotaph on Nov. 10 at about 11:30am.

Elora – The remembrance parade on Nov. 11 will begin from the Legion at 11am and proceed to a ceremony at the cenotaph.

Fergus – The remembrance parade on Nov. 11 will begin at 10:30am from the Legion, followed by a service at the cenotaph.

Salem – The remembrance ceremony will begin at 9:30am at the Salem cenotaph.

Erin:

Erin – In Erin, a Remembrance Day service will start at 10:45am on Nov. 10, at the cenotaph, at the corner of Main and William Streets.

After the service there will be a parade to the Legion hall.

On Nov. 11 there will be a 10:45am service at the Erin cenotaph, but no parade.

Guelph-Eramosa:

Rockwood – In Rockwood the Remembrance Day service will be on Nov. 9, starting at 10:55am.

Participants will assemble at 10:30am on Guelph Street near the post office, and a parade will proceed to the cenotaph.

There will be temporary road closures in the area.

On Nov. 11 there will be a cenotaph service starting at 10:50am, including Grade 7 and 8 students from Rockwood Centennial Public School, open to the public.

Mapleton:

Drayton – On Nov. 11 the Remembrance Day parade in Drayton will begin at 2:15pm from the legion followed by a cenotaph service at 2:20pm.

Minto: 

Clifford – The Harriston Legion will also hold a service on Nov. 10 at 2:15pm at the Clifford Cenotaph and Community Centre.

Harriston – On Nov. 10 at 1:30pm the Harriston Legion will be holding a Remembrance Day ceremony at Caressant Care in Harriston.

On Nov. 11 there will be a parade from the Legion beginning at 10:45am to the cenotaph for a 11am service. A Legion auditorium service will follow.

Palmerston – On Nov. 11 there will be a Remembrance Day parade from the Palmerston Legion to the cenotaph. The cenotaph service will begin at 11am.

Puslinch:

Aberfoyle – A Remembrance Day service will take place at the Puslinch Community Centre at 10am with a cenotaph service at 11am.

Wellington North:

Arthur – The Remembrance Day parade in Arthur begins at 10:30am and a cenotaph service begins at 11am.

Holstein – The public is invited to gather at the Holstein cenotaph at 1:30pm and for a 2pm ceremony.

Mount Forest – On Nov. 11 a Remembrance Day parade leaves from the Mount Forest Legion at 10:20am and the cenotaph services takes place at 11am.
