Police searching for vehicle involved in collision

Wellington County OPP officers responded to a fail-to- remain motor vehicle collision on Highway 6 at Wellington Road 7 here on Dec. 22 at about 2:30pm.

Police say a Toyota Sienna van was southbound on Highway 6 when  the suspect vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Wellington Road 7. The driver of the Toyota Sienna, while attempting to avoid colliding with the suspect vehicle, sideswiped a light standard before entering a ditch and colliding with a culvert.

Guelph-Eramosa Fire Department, Guelph-Wellington EMS and Wellington OPP attended the scene. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle were transported by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect vehicle is described as a maroon mini-van, possibly a Dodge Caravan or similar, with dark roof racks.  The  vehicle was last seen heading west on Wellington Road 7 from Highway 6.
