Police looking to identify man who had ‘interaction’ with youth

GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Police are looking for help to identify a man they say was “involved in an interaction” with 15-year-old youth here last month.

Wellington County OPP officials say the man was observed speaking to the youth in the doorway of the Pioneer Gas Bar on Highway 6, north of Guelph, on April 24 at about 8:30pm.

Police say the man then got in the back seat of a gold/silver older model Toyota Corolla (possibly 2001 to 2003) that had no front plate, a scuff on the passenger side front bumper, and black side mirrors.

“The individual was accompanied by two other males who appeared to be in their 20s,” police stated in a May 5 press release.

The man is described as 45 to 60 years old, average build, about 5’4″ tall with grey hair and wearing a blue Los Angeles Dodgers (LA) hat, black collared shirt, black trench coat, dark pants, white running shoes and a thin black necklace.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident can contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
