Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae visits Wellington Heights Secondary School

MPP visits local school – Wellington Heights Secondary School students were visited by Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae on May 1. Rae spoke with students in Blair Klemp’s civics class and Matt Timberlake and Jen Cork’s Community Environment Leadership Program (CELP) about his role as member of provincial parliament for the local community. The MPP detailed his everyday duties, as well as information about the provincial government system. On hand to hear Rae’s presentation were Upper Grand District School Board trustee Robin Ross and Upper Grand District School Board chair Ralf Mesenbrink. Members of the school’s District 4 Champion senior girls volleyball team, from left: Haven Tangney, Brynne Tangney and Leah Richardson, presented Rae with a WHSS Wolverine hat, and thanked him for his comments made in the Ontario Legislature about their historic win in March.
