Opening up the world of tech: GCVI hosting Tech and Trades Fair

Students in Guelph will have the opportunity to learn about exciting career pathways they may not have previously considered pursuing.

Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute (GCVI) is hosting a Tech and Trades Fair on March 9 from 9am to 3pm.

The fair will connect local employers in need of skilled employees with GCVI students who are interested in careers in technology and the trades.

The fair is open to all students at GCVI, grades 9 through 12, to promote and inform all students about the numerous opportunities in tech.

The goal of the fair is to motivate students to consider different careers within technology and the trades, especially lesser-known trades and trades for which there is high local demand. Students will also learn about employment and/or apprenticeship opportunities available at local companies.

Local colleges will also be in attendance, providing information on educational pathways in the area.
