Ontario funding ESL and FSL at UGDSB

Ontario is providing $586,000 in funding to the Upper Grand District School Board for free language training for all newcomers and immigrants in Guelph, Wellington and Dufferin counties, to help people get jobs, pursue an education and adjust to life in Ontario.

Over 28 English and French as a second language courses are available at St. George’s Centre for Adult ESL.

Officials say the free language assessment and training helps newcomers settle in Ontario, regardless of how long they’ve been here.
