WALSER, Bridget Eileen

July 15, 1949 - July 24, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Bridget Eileen Walser (nee Rooney) announces her passing on Saturday, July 24th, after a lengthy illness. Bridget died peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her family. Bridget will be deeply missed by her loyal husband of almost 53 years, Daniel Walser. She will be remembered with love and gratitude by her children: Jason, Jeffrey, Joshua, Danielle (Chris Young), and Becky (Brad Wittich). She will be remembered as a kind and loving Grammy by her grandchildren: Andrew, Maggie, Ben, Emily, Leah, Catherine, and Natalia. She is survived by her dear sisters and brothers: Peggy Rooney (Ron Chittle), Helen Doucet (Louis), Dan Rooney (Brenda), Mike Rooney (Pat), and Paul Rooney (Laurie Black). Predeceased by her sisters Madeline Hicks, Mary Newell, and Patricia Coughler; brother, Eugene Rooney; brothers-in-law Gary Walser, Charlie Hicks, Lyle Coughler, and Bill Jeffers; and sisters-in-law Paulette Walser and Mary Walser. Also fondly remembered by her sisters- and brothers-in-law Mary Jane Alexander (Bill), Blair Walser (Nancy), Barb Walser (Gail), Pauline Walser, Liz Walser, Carol Jeffers, and Mark Newell. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Bridget’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She was so very grateful for the time she got to spend with her special friends, and for their love and support during her illness. Bridget’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 – 5:00PM on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the home of Becky and Brad, 7269 Middlebrook Road, Elora. Memories will be shared at 2:30PM.
