Beloved father of Janine (Stephen) Lachey of Nice, France, Lori (Gerry Doyle) Litherland of Etobicoke, Tracy Ternan of Toronto and Andrew (Natalie Penno) Ternan of Toronto. Dear Grandpa “Canada” of Arianne and Marielle Lachey; Grandpa Stan of Jacqueline and Angus Ternan, Alex Doyle and Annalise Drakos. Survived by sister Annie (Paul) Ariss of Arthur, brother Mel (Shirle) Ternan of Okotoks, Ab., brother-in-law Alf (Lois) Hayward of Hamilton and sister-in-law Marlene (Donald) Allen of Mt. Forest. Remembered by Myrna Noecker, the mother of his children. Predeceased by his parents Chalmer and Mary Ternan, sister Margery Hayward (1995), brother Grant Ternan (2000) and wife Marilyn Mayerhoff (2004). The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home, 243 George St., Arthur on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service was held from the Crawford Chapel on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 1pm. Interment Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur followed. Remembrances to Hanover and District Hospital or Arthur United Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
