Southwell, Peter Henry (November 29, 1924 – December 14, 2011) Peter died peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on December 14th. Dear Husband of Helen for 65 glorious years. Beloved Dad of Jill, Jan, Rob, Steve, Mike and their spouses. Brother of Ray in Dorset, England and Uncle to Ray’s five children. Wonderful Gramps of Kate, Greg, Geoff, Ian, Anne, Chris, Sarah, Pete, Natasha, Mitchell, Bryan and Tom. Great Gramps of Liukkor, Maeve, Iakkia, Leo and Iareall. Peter was born in England, was a Lieutenant in the British Navy Fleet Air Command during World War II. He enjoyed a very successful international career as Professor of Engineering at the University of Guelph. A celebration of life service was held at Gilbert MacIntyre funeral home (117 Guelph St. Rockwood ON) on Wednesday, December 21st at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Lung Association would be appreciated.
