Snarr, William Harry (Bill)

Snarr, William Harry (Bill); Born July 13, 1930.  Passed away peacefully  at the Hanover and District Hospital with his family at his side on April 27, 2012. Survived by his wife of 60 years Dorothy Jean (nee Trelford); children Wesley (Selma), Victor, Scott, Gail, Suzanne Pearson (Russell) and Kymberley (Art Shannon); 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; predeceased by his grandson Matthew, son of Wesley and Selma (1988) and daughter-in-law Jackie, wife of Scott (2010). Former member of the Lord Strathcona Horse Tank Corp Canadian Armed Forces, former Superintendent of the Peel Regional Police retiring in 1982, founding member of the Streetsville Tyke Tournament, former manager of Streetsville Derby’s Junior B Hockey Club, founding member of Grandparents Against Drugs, and a member of various other volunteer organizations dear to his heart. After he retired, Bill enjoyed many hours restoring antique cars. Bill’s greatest joy was his ever increasing family. No funeral will be held as per Bill’s wishes. The immediate family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date.
