Of Arthur passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Price (1993). Loving mother of Marlene and Paul Puff of Embro, the late Kent Price (2019) and Brenda Price of Denfield, Kathy Corley of Grand Cayman Island, Janice and Ken Shine of Leamington and Tim and Jeannette Price of Arthur. Shirley was cherished by her many grand and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Viola Sanderson, her siblings Jean, Brian and John Sanderson, her granddaughter Brenda Price, and grandson Jordan Shine. Shirley formed lifelong friendships through her work and her participation in quilting and sewing groups. Her determination and skills allowed her to share amazing quilts and handmade items with family and friends. Shirley’s gentle, loving, and generous personality, coupled with a measure of sassy humour, made sharing time with her a joy. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Muldoon, Dr. Lin, the staff at Arthur Family Practice and Groves Memorial hospital for their care and compassion. To honour Shirley’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced at that time. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Groves Memorial Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
