After many battles, Jim lost the fight. Surrounded by the love of his family, he left to be with his wife and soulmate Jean (nee MacLeod 2018). Survived by his doting daughters Catharine Hinton (Steve), Michelle Zacchigna (Michael) and Lynda Garrow. Beloved grandfather of Kiersten, Danielle, Ashley and many nieces and nephews. A man with many interests, Jim invented a solar panel, which was patented in 1976. In addition to their active life and treasured circle of friends in Fergus, Jim and Jean spent 28 winters in Florida, adding many more friends and wonderful memories. His laughter and sense of humour added to his magnetic personality which was unique and loved by all. Private family service to be conducted. Due to Covid-19, there will not be a public visitation at this time. When we can all hug again, there will be a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory can be made to The Summer Shuffle Club, The Elora Lawn Bowling Club or a charity of your choice.
