Munnik, W. George of Minto township passed away peacefully at the Caressant Care Nursing Home, Harriston on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Eleonora (Sprey) Munnik for 57 years. Dear father of Irma and John DeVries of Harriston, Freda and Len Schellingerhoudt of Brantford, Eric and Cecilia Munnik of Stoney Creek and Roland and Holly Munnik of Uxbridge. Grandfather of Sarah, Joyce, Brian (Catherine), Teresa (Paul); Bradley (Kim), David (Lindsey), Christopher, Amanda; Brandon, Kayla, Catrina and Michael. Cherished by ten great grandchildren. Brother of Cornelia Hofman, Elizabeth DeGoede and Maria Munnik all of the Netherlands. Remembered by nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by four brothers Jan, Henk, Han and Dirk in infancy, one sister Jeanne, brothers-in-law Meindert DeGroede and Leen Hofman and sisters-in-law Ans, Bep and Mimi. The family received friends at the Palmerston Christian Reformed Church, Whites Road Palmerston on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until time of Service at 2:00 p.m. followed by interment in Palmerston Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston.
