Mills, Mary Winnifred; Passed away on June 7th, 2011 in her 95th year at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus. She was born October 30, 1916 in Hillsburgh, Ontario and lived the last few years of her life at Station Square and Heritage River Retirement Home in Elora. Loving mother of Douglas and his wife Helen of Fergus, and Carol Newall and her husband Peter of Aurora. Proud grandmother of Heather Mills and her husband Mario Vasiliu, Ashley Newall, Amber Newall Weishar and her husband Stephen and Alana Hayes and her husband Thomas and great grandmother of Cole, Hudson, Austen, Maisie, Grace and Lincoln. Sister of Margaret McQueen and Doris Blakely. Predeceased by her husband Austen (2004) and her brother Douglas (1928). During her life, Mary enjoyed gardening, painting and cooking but more than anything she enjoyed family time. Special thanks to Dr. Clunes, Dr. Lund, especially Dr. Incitti and the wonderful nurses on second floor of Groves Memorial Hospital. Thank you also to the staff at Heritage River Retirement Home. Family and friends are invited to visit and celebrate Mary’s life at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Fergus on Friday, June 10 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at the church immediately after the service.
