McLean, P. Arnold; Peacefully at his home in Sprucedale ON on December 14, 2012. Arnold was born on the Viewfield family farm in Puslinch ON on March 29, 1929. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Agnus. On October 7, 1961 he married Patricia (Pinkney) at Duff’s Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia. She lives in Sprucedale ON. Also his children Susan(Jim) Rogers of Winnipeg, MB, Bryan McLean of Mississauga ON, Carol Byron of Fergus ON, Arnie (Monica Vallencourt) McLean of Wasaga Beach ON. His loving grandchildren Greg (Debra Warsaba) Rogers, Melissa (Leo) Benner, Chase Byron and Alana Byron, his dear sisters Kaye Kelly and Marge Wigood. Arn attended Badenoch School until he went to work on the family farm. He began trucking at an early age, he drove a truck for Shell Canada for 15 years. Arn and Pat sold the family farm and moved to Oro Station in 1986 where Arn began driving a school bus. He was much loved by the children who rode his bus everyday. Arn enjoyed spending time boating and snowmobiling with family. Fishing, tinkering in the shed, word searches, reading and playing Hank Snow and Hank Williams music while singing along were some of his favourite past times. A wonderful Celebration of Life of Arn’s life was held on January 5, 2013. Interment of ashes will be held at the Crown Cemetery at a later date. If desired, Memorial Gifts to the Sprucedale United Church or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Billingsley Funeral Home, Huntsville. Arn was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a very kind hearted man who will be greatly missed by all.
