Quietly passed away while surrounded by loved ones after a long & courageous battle with cancer. Dean was beloved husband to Claire (Taschereau), devoted father to Alexander and Suzanne (Kevin Bacus). Much-loved grandfather to Ethan, Layla, and Jake. Brother to John (Kathy Sinclair – deceased), Paul (Heather), Mary Jane (Peter Tenhaaf), Marjorie (Claude Deslauriers – deceased). Dean is survived by his mother Marion (née Miller), and predeceased by father Ralph. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Dean was an avid Bills fan, and loved to watch the games. Dean could always be found in his backyard oasis, watching the birds and tending to his gardens. Dean loved trips to the cottage with his family, which always had to be on the water, so he could go fishing. Dean was a proud member of the Fergus Horticultural Society where he was highly regarded for his knowledge of horticulture and his keen eye for landscape design. Dean also was a board member of the Fergus Scottish Festival and long time supporter of the festival. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus, on Thursday, January 26th, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00pm, Funeral Service to be conducted immediately following in the Chapel at 3:00pm.
