Matusinec, Stan; Peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Matusinec (2003). Dear father of Dan and Lynne Matusinec of Arthur, Marg and Laverne Dowling of Guelph, Marie and Gary Hawkins of Drayton, John and Barb Matusinec of Arthur, and Teresa and Dave Hawkins of Arthur. Loving grandpa of Rob (Rhonda), Trudy (Jamie), Tamara, Jared, Allison (Chris), Marla (Joe), Garett (Diana), Josiah (Emma), Josh (Andrea), Jennie (Jon), Jacob, Bethany and Lucas. Cherished great grandpa of Ashley May, Hannah, Daniel, Ben, Kennedy, Ella, Hayden, Mikyla and Lincoln. Survived by his brother Cyril (Marg) Matusinec of Toronto, brothers-in-law Stan (Sheila) Smydo of Guelph and Ed (Theresa) Smydo of Fergus and sister-in-law Helen Mooney of Guelph. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home, 243 George St. Arthur, on Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Parish prayers were said in the funeral home on Thursday evening at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial was held from St. John R.C. Church, 131 Georgina St. Arthur, on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 10:30am. Father Edward Hinsperger celebrated. Interment St. John R.C. Cemetery, Arthur, followed. Remembrances to Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation, CT Scan, or St. John R.C. Cemetery, Arthur, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
