MacRitchie, Don “Scratch”; of Moorefield passed away peacefully at Hometown Living, Harriston on Monday, May 9, 2011 in his 56th year. Dad to Cody Stephens of Meaford. Brother of Linda MacRitchie of London, Pat and her husband Jeff St. John of Smiths Falls and twin sister Mary and her husband Brian Noble of Palmerston. Uncle of Murray MacRitchie, Katie (Nathan) Coulas, Norm (Joanne) Boyes, Jerry (Nancie Kuranyi) Boyes, Shelley Noble (Terry Rogers) and Tammy (Craig) Donaldson. Great uncle of ten. Predeceased by his parents Lionel and Bea (Detwiller) MacRitchie and one brother Angus MacRitchie. Sadly missed but fondly remembered by his large family of friends. A special thanks to Hometown Living, the Nurses from Bayshore Home Health and the Red Cross Staff for the care and compassion that they have shown to Don these past weeks. To honour Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to an informal Celebration of Don’s life at the Frank Lambier Legion Branch #409 on Friday evening, May 13, 2011 from 8pm to 11pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Muscular Dystrophy or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
