French, Kenneth Elwood (Ken); Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus at the age of 85. He will be sadly missed by his children Nancy (Tom), Jim (Jane) and Janet (Gligo) as well as his grandchildren Jennifer, Tyson, Spencer (Erin) and Adam. He will also be missed by his sister Doris. Ken was predeceased by his sister Gladys and brother Mervin. He was a long time resident of Elora and was blessed to have many close friends and neighbours in his life. Ken was a proud member of the Elora legion Branch 229 for 66 years and a member of the Masons Irvine Lodge 203 (past master) and just received his 50 year pin. Ken found great enjoyment in his garden and the world will be just a little less colourful without him and his gardens in it. Friends and family were received at the Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 37 Church St. Elora on Tuesday, November 9th from 2-4 and 7-9pm with a masonic service that was held at 6:45pm that same day. The funeral service was held on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel at 1pm followed by interment at the Elora Cemetery. Reception followed back at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fergus and District Horticultural Society, Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
