Free, Robert Alvin; Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, September 16, 2011. Loving husband for 40 years of Bonnie (Kingswell) Free and the late Greta (Antoine) Free (1970). Beloved father of Deborah Prince, Mike (Pam), Rick (Sue), Dan (Lori), Steve (Amanda) and Rob (Debra). Survived by 15 loving grandchildren and 10 wonderful great grandchildren. Dear brother-in-law of Bob Williamson, Al Hume, Gwen Free, Elnor Dyer, Rhoda Clark, Dora Taylor, Dave & Betty Taylor, Larry & Edie Taylor, Sharon & Jim Quarrie, and Merv & Barb Kingswell. Always loved by Kathy McCord Free who has been our rock of support through these troubled times. Alvin leaves behind many nieces & nephews and their families, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by sisters: Helen Dyck, Violet Williamson, Marjorie Hume; brother Gordon Free and brother-in-law Jake Dyck and his beloved poodle “Candy”. Friends called at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Tuesday. Service was at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 11am with Pastor Dave Peterson officiating. Cremation Woodlawn Memorial Park.
