Passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 in her 94th year at St. Josephs Health Centre in Guelph. Predeceased by her husband and best friend Joseph W. Ferguson. Sadly missed by her 4 daughters. Deanna Gordon of Kitchener, Susan Gunn (Gordon) of Owen Sound, Peggy Ferguson of Hamilton and Mary Cass (Trevor) of Lake Erie. Grandma will be missed by David, Sarah (Tom), Jeremy (Alison) and the late Michael. Great grandma will be missed by Charlie, Jackson, Connor (Liz) and Peyton. Predeceased by her 2 sisters, Queenie and Eileen and brother Bill. Mom lived in the community all her life, and touched the lives of so many through her faith, sense of community, and commitment to her friends and family. A service for Gene will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 11:00am at Belwood United Church, 28 Queen St. with Rev. Shelley Smith officiating. Capacity at the Church is limited so if possible, please RSVP through the funeral home website. All attendees must wear a mask and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Belwood United Church.
