He was predeceased by his sister Ruth and brother Bill. Pilot Officer G. R. Cormack served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, completing twenty-six missions overseas. He graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 1949 and opened a practice and clinic in the former Township of Toronto (now the City of Mississauga). He was active in the College of Veterinarians of Ontario and chaired its Building Committee for the construction of a new head office in 1992. One of his farms is the well-known Tralee, in Caledon, where he maintained an extensive collection of horse drawn vehicles, and hosted the Canadian Carriage Driving Classic for many years.  His antique road coach “The Old Sport” with its distinctive blue and yellow colours, was a fixture for many years at the Royal Winter Fair Horse Show in Toronto. “Doc” will be very sadly missed by his many friends.
