Cooper, James Albert; Peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Lois Cooper (2007). Dear father of Katherin Peters of Arthur, Paul and Margaret Cooper of Elmira, Bill and Barbara Cooper of Winnipeg, Man., and Marie & Bernard Rathwell of Guelph, daughter-in-law Joan Cardy of Cambridge and brother-in-law Ronald & Gail Wilson of Mt. Forest. Sadly missed by sisters Greta Rock and Bertha Evans, both of Palmerston and Barbara and Ken Campbell of Drayton. Lovingly remembered by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by sons JC and Wilf, three brothers, two sisters, one son-in-law, one grandson, four brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home, 243 George St., Arthur on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A legion service was held on Sunday evening in the funeral home at 6:45pm auspices Arthur Legion Branch #226. The funeral service was held from the Crawford Chapel on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 11am. Interment Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur followed. Remembrances to Arthur Legion or St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
