It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marie on May 28, 2019 at the age of 82. She leaves behind her beloved husband Ray of 62 years. Loving mother of Ronald (Pam), Gary (Joan) and Kim. Proud grandma of Simon and Caroline Burkitt, Renee (Nivek) Blefare, Dana (Craig) McConnery, and Raymond Burkitt Jr. (Chloe). Cherished great-grandma of 5. Sister of Trevor (Catherine) of the U.K. Sister-in-law of Jean Archer, Helen (Bill) Sommerville, Donna (Russ) Donaldson, and several nieces and nephews. Marie was active within the Senior Centre in Fergus and avid gardener. As per Marie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations in Marie’s memory may be made to Groves Memorial Hospital.
