BRINKS, John

of Brussels and formerly of  Listowel and Palmerston, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at the Wingham and District Hospital on  Thursday, December 5, 2019 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Jessie Brinks (January, 2019) with whom he spent 66 years of marriage. Dear father of Henry and Linda Brinks of Alberta, The late Alexander Brinks (1962) Theresa and Rick Metzger of Listowel, and Alise Williamson of London. Cherished grandfather of Stephen and Candice Brinks of Alberta; Daniel Brinks and fiancé Laura Winger of Brantford; David and Kirsten Brinks of Alberta; Shawn and Sarah Metzger of Listowel; Jenni and Jason Yantzi of Milverton; Michelle and Ryan Lowes of Mount Bridges; Mark Williamson and Silina Tripp of London. Much loved great grandfather of Nolan, Ethan, Graham; Nathaniel, Caleb; Adalyn, Alayna; Tyler, Lucas, Dylan; Zachary, Liam, Megan, Kayla (2017); and Graydon. John is fondly remembered by family and siblings in Holland, nieces, nephews and friends. Dad farmed; was a welder, a parts manager, a salesman, and a service manager at Bramhill Service Centre for many years. During his retirement he enjoyed working with wood and repaired and built many clocks for family and friends. He was also president and groundskeeper at the Palmerston Lawn Bowling Club for many years. The family received friends at the Drayton Reformed Church, Wellington Street, Drayton on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:30pm. Rev. Daniel DeVries will conduct the Funeral Service in the Drayton Reformed Church on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 1:00pm. Internment at Drayton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to Drayton Reformed Church or Countryside Camp (Camp Shalom) would be appreciated by the family.
