Black, Gordon Noble; Passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by those he loved on May 19th, 2011 in his 76th year. Gord will be forever missed by his wife Glenna (Wilkin) and his daughter Debbie Black. Lovingly remembered by his sisters Jean Jackson (Ben) and Isabel Wickhorst and his brothers Max, Hugh, Bert (Marg), Jim (Peggy) and Walter. Fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law Ron (Inez) Wilkin and Charlie Quarrie (Dorothy) and sisters-in-law Bette (George) Maidment, Hazel (Stan) McLean, Olive Black and Arnetta Black. Gord is survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, many close friends and past & present students. Predeceased by his brothers Bud & Bill, brothers-in-law Ron & Leon and sisters-in-law Florence & Marie. Friends were received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Sunday, May 22nd from 7-9pm and Monday, May 23rd from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service was conducted at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Fergus, on Tuesday, May 24th at 2pm.
