Bayne, Ruth Elizabeth (McKay) The family of Ruth Elizabeth Bayne (McKay), wife of the late Harvey Bayne (1989), sadly announces her peaceful passing at Eden House on Sunday, December 23, 2012 in her 93rd year. Forever loved by daughters Jean (Bill Anderson), Marion (Darryl Nichol), Phyllis (Peter Puchyr), grandson David Nichol (Stephanie) and late granddaughter, Krista Nichol (1986). Lovingly remembered by brother, Douglas McKay (Jean Foster 2000) of Listowel, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Mac (Shirley), Keith (Verna) and Murray (Ann). Ruth was an active member of the community. She was an elementary school teacher, a member of Rock-a-long Women’s Institute and Rockwood United Church Women. Since 2008, Ruth enjoyed her active new life at Eden House Nursing Home. The family thanks the Eden House staff for their wonderful care, compassion and support. Friends were received at the Blue Springs Funeral Home, Acton, on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral service was at Rockwood United Church, (Harris St. and No. 7 Highway), Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 11 a.m. Spring interment, Rockwood Cemetery.
