A rash of break-ins at super mailboxes across the county continued last weekend.
Wellington County OPP officers are investigating three separate incidents that involved Canada Post “superboxes” being entered and damaged.
On March 19 at about 8:54pm, police received a report that the superbox located at the corner of Bricker Avenue and Clegg Drive in Elora was broken into and damaged.
On March 20 at 7:30am police were told about a similar crime at a superbox on Old Ruby Lane west of Victoria Road in Puslinch Township.
A third call, received later that same day at about 6:17pm, notified police that a superbox on Wellington Road 29 just north of Wellington Road 124 in Guelph-Eramosa Township had been entered and damaged.
“It is unknown how much mail, if any, has been taken in these incidents or the estimate of damage done to the mailboxes,” Wellington County OPP stated in a press release.
The three above incidents are the latest in a rash of damage and thefts from super boxes across the county in the last two months.
Police are encouraging residents to remove mail daily from mailboxes and to report any suspicious activity.
“If you see something, say something,” police urge.
