Montessori School of Wellington donates $3,000 to Focus on Nature

Montessori School of Wellington has donated $3,000 to supportFocus on Nature programs in local schools.

“We are honoured to have the Montessori School of Wellington as a program sponsor,” said Simon Bell, Focus on Nature’s executive director, in a press release.

“Their support ensures that we can continue offering children in our community the opportunity to explore and connect with their local environment through the art of nature photography.”

Glynis Hamilton, owner of the Montessori School of Wellington, said, “I personally just love the Focus on Nature program. The educational values they bring to a classroom are well-aligned with the values of the Montessori way of learning.”

Focus on Nature is a registered charity and Ontario non-profit corporation in Guelph that delivers school-based photography workshops that inspire young people to connect with nature and their own creative potential.

The Montessori School of Wellington offers a unique, challenging, and nurturing learning experience for children where their development unfolds naturally.

Each child grows socially, intellectually and ethically in an environment characterized by freedom and respect. The school was founded in 1996 and is located at 68 Suffolk Street West, in Guelph.
