‘Small price to pay’

Dear Editor:

RE: Freedoms diminished, April 2.

I have never written a letter to the editor before. I do enjoy reading them and respect various views that people have. With regards to the aforementioned letter, I have three words – are you serious?!

We are facing a global pandemic that might last a couple of years, has already cost thousands of lives and will surely kill several thousand more. We might not completely agree with all measures being taken, but they are all in our best interests.

I’m sorry, but if you miss a few church services or can’t go to a restaurant, that is a small price to pay for the alternative of not self isolating or social distancing.

I truly hope that you are not exposed to COVID-19 and I also hope that you are not the cause of someone succumbing to this virus because you are not taking precautions.
