No proof of profit

Dear Editor:

Our prime minister claims that any money Canada earns from the Trans Mountain Pipeline will be spent on clean energy, but there’s no proof that this project will ever be profitable.

Trans Mountain is a crown corporation, but we’re not informed about the costs of the project, how we’re paying for it or how the feds plan to get our money back. Private investors aren’t in it because of the risk, so why are we?

Why not put all our public money directly into clean energy projects now – it’s going to be required later, so let’s start now.

Climate change is well on the way.
