‘Kept in the dark’

Dear Editor:

The Town of Erin has been awarded with the 2019 Code of Silence Award for Outstanding Achievement in Government Secrecy in the category of municipal government.

The Canadian Association of Journalists have blessed our town with this award because our town commonly refuses to be transparent to the media and as a result the residents and taxpayers are kept in the dark as what is being done with our tax dollars.

Yay! Good job, Mr. Mayor and Councillors! Not.

Jane Vandervliet,
Erin
