January poem

Dear Editor:

January needs a little poem and here it is (entitled January Thaw).

January is thaw, thaw, thawing,

Crows in the woods are caw, caw, cawing.

Grandpa in his barn is saw, saw, sawing;

Little newborn calf is mah, mah, mahing.

Lambs outside are bah, bah, bahing.

Grandma at a joke is hah, hah, hahing.

Neighbours just keep jaw, jaw, jawing;

Inside on the telly folks are rah, rah, rahing.

Baby put to bed is yah, yah, yawning;

And so ends the day until daw, daw, dawning.
