‘Disappointing’ display

Dear Editor:

I enjoyed the Sept. 23 all-candidates debate in Erin and learned a lot.

But I was dismayed at the end when, instead of sticking to policies and platforms, one of the candidates suddenly went into a tirade about needing a change because of constant scandal and referring to controversial events that at best are questionable and were either unproven or untrue but alleged by his own party seeking distraction from their own deficient platform.

The public does not need further inflammatory faked indignation over nothing, but deserves instead honest discussion on the issues of our day. He lost my vote and was disappointing.
