Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms have a lifespan and eventually need to be replaced.
Check the age of your smoke alarms. If they are older than 10 years or you can’t find a manufactured date, replace them immediately. CO alarms need to be replaced every 7-10 years depending on the manufacturer.
