Kinettes plan Reverse Trick-or-Treating for Halloween

MAPLETON – With COVID-19 concerns raising questions about the viability of traditional trick or treating, the Drayton Kinette Club is offering local youngsters a different way to celebrate Halloween.

The club is planning a Reverse Trick-or-Treating extravaganza.

Local residents are invited to email Draytonkinettes@gmail.com before Oct. 24 to provide their address, how many children are in their homes and list any relevant allergies.

Club members will then deliver treat bags for the children on Oct. 31.

“We’d love to see some awesome costumes,” club officials state.

Invited to help out are those who normally hand out candy but are hesitant to have people come and go from their house this year, or businesses looking for a way to give back to the community.

“Cash and candy donations are being accepted to help fill these treat bags for Mapleton children,” club officials state.
